David Boyes couldn’t have been happier to finish third in last weekend’s Australian AMCA Nationals Championship at his home track – Kalgoorlie International Speedway – becoming the first ever Western Australian-based racer to score a podium result in the event.
Off the back of a disappointing result in his maiden Australian Championship attempt at Murray Bridge Speedway in South Australia during the 2014-15 season running of the event, where he missed out on the feature race after finishing ninth in the B main, the current and two-time Western Australian Champion was thrilled to have well and truly made amends in his second attempt in the event.

Delivering a solid performance throughout last weekend’s Australian AMCA Nationals Championship at Kalgoorlie International Speedway in Western Australia, Geelong’s Jamie Collins came away with a runner-up finish.
A model of consistency throughout the weekend, the current Victorian Champion was awarded a front-row starting position for the 40-lap Australian Championship-deciding feature race, after winning three of his four heat races and finishing fifth in the other, impressively setting quick times in each of them.

After a decade of trying, Tim Reidy finally broke through last weekend, delivering a faultless performance to win the 2017 Australian AMCA Nationals Championship at Kalgoorlie International Speedway in Western Australia.
Having finished runner-up in the past two Australian Championship events at Lismore Speedway (NSW) and Murray Bridge Speedway (SA), the Victorian-based racer was a dominant force from the outset, qualifying pole for the feature race, by virtue of winning each of his three heat races on the opening night of competition and finishing fourth in his remaining heat race on Sunday night.

A stout field of local contenders will attempt to fend off a formidable line-up of interstate invaders when they take to the Kalgoorlie International Speedway track this weekend in search of Australian AMCA Nationals Title gold.
The talented interstate contingent, which includes three state champions, will make the trip west from throughout South Australia, the Northern Territory, Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania in an effort to take top honours, while 17 locals will ensure they are met with a tough defence.

Up against some of the country’s toughest drivers, Jason Molle was rapt to come away with a third-place finish in last Saturday night’s NSW AMCA Nationals Title at Gilgandra Speedway.
The Gold Coast-based racer was in the best possible form in the early stages of the night, winning his opening heat race and setting the fastest lap of the heat races, before finishing third and sixth, placing him out of position six for the 30-lap NSW Title-deciding feature race.
